Man shoots attacker dead - Nassau police seek suspects in 1 other shooting and 2 armed robberies

POLICE PROBE SHOOTING DEATH OF A MAN

Police are investigating a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Thursday 9th June 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 12:00midnight, a man had just arrived at his Lexington Avenue home, when he saw a man armed with a shotgun walking towards him. The complainant in fear of his life got his licensed shotgun from his vehicle and shot his attacker. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Police recovered the shotgun from the man who was shot and discovered that it was stolen during an armed robbery.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE SEEK HELP IN SHOOTING INCIDENT

Police are investigating a shooting incident that has left a man detained in hospital on Thursday 9th June2016.

Reports are that shortly before 2:00pm, a man was sitting in an abandoned house located on McCartneyLane off Wulff Road when he was shot. The victim was rushed to hospital where he remains in stablecondition.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS IN TWO ARMEDROBBERIES

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspects in two separate armed robberies that occurredon Thursday 9th June 2016.

In the first incident, shortly after 12:00midnight, a woman had just arrived at a home located at Gulf CourseBoulevard, when two males armed with handguns approached her and robbed her of her 2015 white KiaSportage jeep license # 288293 before speeding off.

Then shortly after 12:30am, a man was sitting in his silver 2010 Ford Edge vehicle in front of a wash houselocated on Charles Saunders Highway, when three males armed with handguns approached and robbedhim of his vehicle before speeding off.

Investigations are ongoing.
