Nassau: 3 overnight shootings, a man and woman dead

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in solving three separate shooting incidents that have left a man and a woman dead.

In the first incident shortly before 11:00pm on Wednesday 30th November 2016, a family of five had just pulled up to their home located on Poitier Avenue, when two men armed with firearms pounced upon them and fired several shots before fleeing on foot. An adult woman was pronounced dead on the scene. Two adult females, a teenage male and a young girl were transported to hospital. The two adult females and the young girl were admitted in stable condition. However the teenage male condition is listed as serious.

In the second incident, shortly before 12:00am on Wednesday 30th November 2016, a man was talking to a woman in front of his business establishment located at Ernest Street off Mackey Street, when two men in a silver colored Nissan Tiida vehicle pulled up and held him at bay. The man run off but was chased down by the two gunmen who shot him before speeding off. The victim was rushed to hospital by private vehicle where he later died.

Then in the third incident, shortly after 12:00am on Thursday 1st December 2016, two males were walking on Cowpen Road, when the occupants of a silver vehicle armed with firearms pulled up and fired several shots 1 at them before speeding off. The two males were transported to hospital where their condition is listed as stable. Investigations are ongoing in all of these incidents
