Nassau man shot and killed over backgammon game - Tuesday shooting victim dies in hospital

Tuesday Shooting Victim Dies in Hospital - (Nassau, Bahamas) A 20-year old man who was shot, by three men in a Honda accord vehicle on Brougham Street on Tuesday 3rd September 2013 died in hospital early this morning (Wednesday 4th September 2013). The victim has been identified as 20-year old Alexander Joseph of Fleming Street. Investigations are ongoing.

Nassau man shot and killed over backgammon game - Police are requesting the public’s help in locating a male suspect responsible for ashooting incident that has left one man dead and another in hospital on Wednesday 4th September 2013.

According to reports, shortly before 2:00pm, the victim was playing a game of backgammon with a group of men midway through Fowler Street, when he got into an altercation with one of the men who fired several shots, hitting him and another man. The victim succumbed to injuries at the scene and the other man was taken to hospital via private vehicle, where he is detained in serious condition. Investigations are ongoing.

Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding any of these incidents to contact Police at 919 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS (New Providence) or 300-8476 (Family Islands)
