New Providence Police arrest teens with firearm & ammunition
- Two (2) teen boys, both age 17 years and residents of Pinewood Gardens are in police custody after officers conducted a search of their gray Monte Carlo vehicle and discovered a handgun and ammunition.Officers of the Southwestern Division arrested the teenagers around 5:25 pm on Saturday 2nd December, 2012 at the intersection of Carmichael Road and Faith Avenue.

Active police investigations continue.

New Providence Police seek armed robbery suspect - Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a man who robbed a food store located on Carmichael Road.The incident reportedly occurred around 5:30 pm on Saturday 2nd December, 2012.

Preliminary reports indicate that a masked male, about 5’8” tall, wearing a red hooded jacket and a long blue jeans pants, entered the establishment allegedly armed with a shotgun and demanded cash.

The culprit reportedly robbed the store of an undetermined amount of cash and fled the area in an unknown direction. Active police investigations continue.

Police investigate stabbing incident - Police are investigating a stabbing incident that has left a 26 year old male of Bacardi Road in hospital.The incident reportedly occurred shortly before 1:00 am on Saturday 1st December, 2012.

According to reports the victim was at a dance on Bacardi Road when he got into an altercation with another male and subsequently stabbed.

The victim was taken to hospital where he is detained in stable condition. Active police investigations continue.
