CDU OFFICERS MAKE ARRESTS REFERENCE TO ATM FRAUD

Nassau, Bahamas - According to reports, officers from the Central Detective Unit, acting on intelligence, mounted an operation in the Palmdale area in an effort to capture persons responsible for a series of ATM Fraud in the capital.

Sometime around 1:40am on Sunday 7 September 2014, officers intercepted a small white Nissan vehicle and took into custody three Romanian nationals ages 30yrs and 32 yrs and 40yrs respectively.

FIREARMS TRACING & INVESTIGATION OFFICERS MAKE ARRESTS REFERENCE TO FIREARM POSSESSION

In the first incident, sometime around 12:10pm on Saturday 6 September 2014, officers acting on intelligence went into the Strachan’s Alley off Kemp Road where they conducted a search of three males ages 39yr, 17yrs and 39yrs. The men were found in possession of a .40 pistol loaded with seven bullets.

They were subsequently arrested and transported to CDU;

FLYING SQUAD OFFICERS MAKE ARREST REFERENCE TO MURDER

According to reports, sometime around 1:0am on Sunday 9 September 2014, officers from Flying Squad acting on intelligence went into the Taylor Street area where they arrested a 29yr old male for questioning reference to the murder of Prince Prudence. The suspect was transported to CDU for further investigations.

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
