POLICE SEEK POLICE PUBLIC'S HELP IN OVERNIGHT MURDER

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are searching for the suspect/s responsible for a shooting that has left one male dead on Wednesday, 13th December, 2017. 

According to reports, shortly before 2:00am, gunshots were heard in the area of East Street and Lewis Street. Police officers went to that location and found a male lying just outside a business establishment who had been shot.  The male was pronounced dead on the scene.

2 ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS CAPTURED BY POLICE

Quick action by Police has led to the arrest of two suspects shortly after they committed an armed robbery on Tuesday, 12th December, 2017. 

Shortly after 9pm, a man was sitting in his vehicle on Montague Beach, when he was approached by two armed men who robbed him of cash and other items before fleeing in a Silver Honda Fit.  

Police immediately sent out an APB (All Point Bulletin) for the suspect and shortly thereafter, officers from Mobile Division intercepted the Honda vehicle in the area of Village Road and Shirley Street. The Suspects were taken into custody and the stolen cash and other items stolen were recovered.  

Police suspects these two men to be the mastermind behind a number of recent armed robberies.      

Investigations are ongoing.   

278 DRIVERS TICKETED BY UNIFORM OFFICERS IN AN ISLAND WIDE OVERNGHT OPERATION

Officers from the Uniform and Traffic Divisions in New Providence conducted number of road checks in various parts of the island, which were intended to reduce crime, and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities. 

The road checks resulted in the arrest of 12 person for outstanding criminal warrants, causing harm and immigration purpose.  

Additionally, 278 drivers were ticketed for various traffic violations, including 42 for driving in excess of the speed limit.

PREVENTION CRIME TIP- TAKE A STAND AGAINST ILLEGAL FIREARMS BY COOPERATING WITH THE POLICE IN PROVIDING INFORMATION REGARDING THE WHEREABOUTS OF ANY ILLEGAL FIREARM.
