RBPF Nassau: 3 arrested for murder and death threats - 3 arrested in drug seizure - 95 citations; 5 arrests

3 ARRESTED BY FLYING SQUAD FOLLOWING DRUG SEIZURE

Nassau, Bahama - According to reports, around 1:30pm on Wednesday 7th October 2015, a team of officers from The Flying Squad went to a home located off Carmichael Road, where they executed a search warrant and found a large quantity of marijuana. Three (3) adult males were taken into custody for questing reference to this discovery.

3 SUSPECTS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY FOR MURDER AND THREATS OF DEATH

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, a team of officers from The Flying Squad conducted an operation throughout the streets of New Providence on Wednesday 7th October 2015 that led to the arrest of 2 adult males for murder and an adult male for threats of death.

78 DRIVERS CITED DURING POLICE TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT ISLAND-WIDE OPERATION

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, officers from the Police Traffic Department conducted an island-wide operation on Wednesday 7th October 2015 that targeted wanted persons and drivers who were in breach of the Rules of the Road. The operation resulted in 78 drivers being cited for various traffic violations.

5 ARRESTED, 17 DRIVERS CITED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS DURING 24 HOURS PERIOD

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the arrests of five (5) persons during the past 24 hours for various minor and major offences. Additionally, 17 drivers were cited for various traffic violations.
