RBPF Nassau: 6 arrested in Garden HIlls drug raid - Handgun seized on Hutchinson Ave - 12 arrested in 24 hrs

6 Arrested in Drug Raid - (Nassau, Bahamas) Police are reporting the arrest of four males ages, 33, 17, 16 and 15 along two females ages 29 and 25 after the seizure of a quantity of marijuana on Tuesday 16th December 2014.

According to reports, around 10:00am, a police operation team under the command of Chief Superintendent Ashton Greenslade executed a search warrant at a home located at Garden Hills #2, where they recovered approximately just over two pounds of marijuana. The six suspects were taken into custody for questioning reference to the discovery.

Police Seize Illegal Firearm -  According to reports, shortly before 11:00pm on Monday 15th December 2014, officers from the Firearms Tracing and Investigation Unit acting on intelligence went to Hutchinson Avenue, where they uncovered a handgun underneath an abandoned vehicle. No one was arrested for this discovery.

12 Arrested by Mobile Division Officers During 24 hr Period -  Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the arrests of twelve (12) persons during the past 24 hours for various minor and major offences.
