RBPF Nassau: American visitor arrested for drug possession on cruise ship

Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2016, officers from Great Harbour Cay took an American woman into custody after they found a quantity of dangerous drugs in her possession on Wednesday 31st August 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 2:00pm, officers from Great Harbour Cay, acting on information went onboard a cruise ship moored at Coca Cay, where they arrested the woman after they found a quantity of marijuana in her possession.

The woman was later flown into New Providence and will appear in court later today to be formally charged.
