POLICE SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN SOLVING TWO ARMED ROBBERIES
Nassau, Bahamas - Police seek the public's help in solving two robberies:
In the
first incident, shortly after 7:30pm on Sunday 1st March 2015, two men
armed with a handgun robbed a convenience store located at Matthew
Street, Nassau Village of an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing
on foot.
In the second incident, around 10:30pm on Sunday 1st
March 2015, a man had just pulled up in front of a residence located at
Victoria Avenue off Mackey Street in his green BMW jeep, when two men
armed with handguns robbed him of cash and his jeep before speeding off.
Investigations are ongoing
STOLEN VEHICLE SUSPECT ARRESTED OVERNIGHT AS POLICE OPERATIONS CONTINUE TO REAP POSITIVE RESULTS
A man who police believed to be behind the theft of a number of vehicles was taken into custody last night as the police anti-crime operation continues to reap positive results.
Around 12:30am this morning the police operation team were at Arawak Cay, where they arrested a 19 – year old male after they found a black Honda accord vehicle suspected of being stolen in his possession. Police also found a number of master keys for various vehicles in the suspect’s possession. The suspect is being questioned in connection with a number of stolen vehicle complaints.
The operation, which is consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, was under the leadership of Chief Superintendent Clayton Fernander.
