Nassau police make major break in teacher's murder investigation - Firearm seized

POLICE MAKE MAJOR BREAK IN TEACHER’S MURDER INVESTIGATION

Nassau, Bahamas - Police have made a major break in the murder investigation of the female teacher found dead in her apartment on Friday 9th September 2016, with the arrest of an adult male earlier tonight (Thursday 15th September 2016).

Investigations are ongoing.

FIREARM SEIZED

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2016, around 9:00pm on Wednesday 14th September 2016, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team acting on information went to a bushy area off Market Street North, where they uncovered an AR 15 Assault Rifle. No one was arrested in connection with this discovery.
