Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, a special police team conducted an operation throughout New Providence yesterday that targeted several persons, suspected to be involved in criminal activities. The operation resulted in the arrest of 9 persons for various criminal offences such as possession of dangerous drugs, house breaking, stealing and stolen vehicle.

TWO MALES ARRESTED FOLLOWING AN ARMED ROBBERY

Two adult males are in custody after they were arrested following an armed robbery on earlier this morning.

According to reports, shortly before 12:00noon today two men armed with handguns robbed a convenience store located on Fox Hill Road of a small amount of cash before fleeing on foot.A short while later, Mobile Division officers arrested two suspects in connection with this incident.
