RBPF Nassau: Police investigating a shooting incident that has left an adult male dead

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE COUNTRY’S LATEST
HOMICIDE.

Nassau, Bahamas - Police on New Providence are investigating a shooting incident, Sunday 4th August, 2019 which has left an adult male dead.

According to reports, shortly before 4:00am, a man was standing outside a home on Roland Street, Ridgeland Park, when he was shot multiple time to the body.
Paramedics responded to the scene, however; they were unsuccessful in reviving the injured man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are appealing to members of the public, who may have information that can assist with this investigation, to contact the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991/2, Crime stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.
Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE INVESTIGATES STABBING INCIDENT

Police are investigating a stabbing incident Saturday, 4th August, 2019 which left an adult male detained in hospital.

According to reports, shortly before 11:00pm, a man was at East Street South, when he got into an altercation with another man, who stabbed him about the body. The injured man   was transported to hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE INVESTIGATES ARMED ROBBERIES

Police on the Island of New Providence are seeking assistance in identifying and locating other persons responsible for two armed robberies, Saturday 3rd August, 2019.

In the first incident, according to reports, shortly after 12:00noon, a woman was at a residence on Blyden Road off Cowpen Road, when she was approached by an armed man who robbed her of her hand bag which contained cash and other items, before getting into a gray Nissan Sylphy with another man and speeding away.

In the second incident, according to reports, shortly before 1:00pm, a woman was at a residence on Boatswain Hill Road, when she was approached by an armed man, who robbed her of her hand bag containing cash and other items, before getting into a blue Nissan Sentra license #AP5466, and speeding away.

Investigations are ongoing.
