Nassau: Murder and drug suspects arrested - 3 arm robberies - Man shot on St. James Rd. - 7 arrests

POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS IN 3 ARM ROBBERIES

In the first incident shortly after 12:00midnight on Thursday 24th September 2015, a man was driving in his red 2003 Honda Accord vehicle on Market Street and Cordeaux Avenue, when two males armed with a handgun pulled up along side of him and robbed him of his vehicle before speeding off.

In the second incident shortly after 6:00am on Thursday 24th September 2015, a woman was walking on Victoria Boulevard, when a male armed with a handgun pulled up in a grey Honda Stream vehicle and robbed her of her handbag before speeding off.

In the third incident, shortly after 11:30am on Thursday 24th September 2015, a man armed with a handgun robbed a convenience store located on Gladstone Road of an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing in a waiting white Honda vehicle.
Investigations are ongoing.

SUSPECTS IN SHOOTING INCIDENT BEING SOUGHT BY POLICE

According to reports, shortly after 11:30am on Thursday 24th September 2015, a man was sitting down in front of a home located on St. James Road, when five males armed with a handgun approached and shot him before fleeing on foot. The man was rushed to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing


MURDER AND DRUG SUSPECTS ARRESTED

According to reports, shortly after 3:00am on Friday 25th September 2015, officers from the Southwestern Division acting on information went to St. Vincent Road, where they arrested a 22 – year old male in connection with a recent Murder.

Southwestern Division officers also arrested two (2) adult males and two (2) adult females while on routine patrol on Gladstone Road on Thursday 24th September 2015 for possession of a quantity of marijuana.

7 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS DURING 24 HOURS PERIOD

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the arrests of seven (7) persons during the past 24 hours for various minor and major offences.
