Nassau, Bahamas - POLICE are searching for several suspects responsible for four separate armed robberies that occurred last night.
In
the first incident, shortly after 10:00pm, a man was at Purpose Way,
Ridgeland Park when a man armed with a handgun robbed him of two cell
phones, a tablet and cash before fleeing on foot.
In the second
incident, shortly after 11:00pm, a man was at Sisal Road, when the
occupants of a Silver Mercedes Benz robbed him of his green 2002 Honda
vehicle license number 225202 and sped off.
In the third
incident, shortly after 11:30pm, a pizza delivery woman was delivering
pizza on Butler Street, Nassau village, when the occupants of a dark
Honda vehicle robbed her of an order of chicken and two large pizzas and
sped off.
In the fourth incident, shortly after 1:00am this
morning, a woman was on Dawson Street off Soldier Road when the
occupants of a green Honda vehicle robbed them of their champagne
coloured Nissan Primera vehicle license number 284060 and sped off.
Investigations are ongoing.

Crimes
involving your motor vehicle are crimes of opportunity. In an attempt
to prevent crimes, you want to make your vehicle less of a target. The
Royal Bahamas Police Force would like to provide you with some simple
tips to help you protect your vehicle and your belongings.

Secure your vehicle by locking all doors and rolling up the windows

Remove all personal property such as purses and wallets

Do not leave your cell phone, laptop computers or jewelry in your vehicle

Do not leave packages in your vehicle, or other items that look as if they would contain items

Criminals often figure there are valuables in the packages

Park in well lit areas with lots of traffic

At home, leave your outside lights on, or install motion lights in areas where they cannot be defeated

Limit access to your vehicle keys. Keep them with you, do not loan them out to others, do not leave them in gym lockers, etc.

Do not leave your vehicle running or your keys in the vehicle unattended
