RBPF Nassau: Man stabbed and beaten by group - 9 arrests - Handgun recovered

POLICE SEEK HELP IN LOCATING SUSPECTS IN STABBING INCIDENT

According to reports, shortly after, 11:00pm on Wednesday 8th April 2015, a man was walking on Lincoln Boulevard near Wulff Road, when he was accosted by a group of males who beat him about the body and stabbed him in the back before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to hospital where he remains in serious condition.

Investigations are ongoing.


9 ARRESTED DURING POLICE OPERATIONS YESTERDAY


POLICE are reporting the arrest of 9 persons in separate operations conducted by officers from the Eastern, Southeastern and Western Divisions on Wednesday 8th April 2015.

During the operation conducted by Eastern Division officers, 3 persons were arrested for house breaking, robbery and stealing from a vehicle.

During the operation conducted by Southeastern Division officers, 4 persons were arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and outstanding court warrants.

During the operation conducted Western Division officers, one adult male along with wanted suspect Lincoln Poitier was arrested at their home located in Gambier Village for burglary and housebreaking.

TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT OFFICERS RECOVER HANDGUN


According to reports, shortly after, 5:00pm on Wednesday 8th April 2015, officers from the Police Traffic Department were on enquiries at Excellent Estates off Golden Isles Road, when they observed a suspicious male walking. The male on seeing the officers threw and object to the ground and fled on foot. The officers gave chase but were unable to catch the suspect. The officers recovered the object from the ground and found it to be a handgun.

Investigations are ongoing.
