RBPF Nassau: Stabbing incident at night club - 115 drivers cited, 3 arrested - 12 arrested overnight

115 DRIVERS CITED, 3 ARRESTED, DURING POLICE OPERATION

In keeping with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, officers from the Western and Northeastern Divisions conducted two separate police operations in their respective divisions on Friday 18th July 2014 that reaped the following results:

The Western Division operation resulted in 71 drivers being cited for various Traffic Infractions and two persons arrested for Breach of the Immigration Act.

The Northeastern Division operation resulted in 44 drivers being cited for various Traffic Infractions and one person arrested for Armed Robbery.

12 ARRESTED BY MOBILE DIVISION OFFICERS OVERNIGHT

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2014, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the following arrests overnight:

Four (4) arrests for Outstanding Criminal Warrants
Two (2) arrests for Disorderly Behavior and Obscene Language
Two (2) arrests for Breach of The immigration Act
One (1) arrest for Assault
One (1) arrest for an Outstanding Criminal Complaint
One (1) arrest for Fraudulent Use of a License Disc
One (1) arrest for Assaulting a Police Officer, Threats of Death and Disorderly Behaviour

POLICE INVESTIGATE STABBING INCIDENT

POLICE are investigating a stabbing incident that happened on Sunday 20th July 2014.

According to reports, shortly after 1:30am, a man was involved in an altercation with his girlfriend at a nightclub located at Market Street and Robinson Road that resulted in his girlfriend stabbing him in the neck.

The suspect then fled the scene in her private vehicle.

The victim was transported to hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing.
