Nassau police arrest man in Montel Heights for Firearm possession

Nassau, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, officers from the Selection Enforcement Team took another firearm off the streets of New Providence on Thursday 9th June 2016.

Reports are that around 11:00pm, a team of officers from the Selective Enforcement Team went to a home located in Montel Heights to conduct a search for firearms and drugs. On arrival at the location several males fled from the home on foot. After a short foot chase the officers arrested one of the males who threw a handgun with 13 rounds of ammunition to the ground.
