SWIFT ACTION BY POLICE LEAD TO ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT

Nassau, Bahamas - According to reports, sometime around 7:30pm on Tuesday 9 September 2014, police were called to the Lightbourne Avenue in the Farrington Road area, where they saw two males who reported that while walking they were accosted by two males armed with handguns and cloth ties over their faces, who robbed them of their cash, jewelry and cell phone. Shortly after the incident, police acting on information from members of the public went into the Rock Cusher area where they arrested a 19yr old male.

POLICE INVESTIGATE OVERNIGHT DAMAGE REPORT

According to reports, sometime around 12:30am officers responded to reports of gunshots in the Lightbourne Street area of Yellow Elder Gardens. Upon their arrival on the scene they spoke to a 35yr old male, who reported that person’s unknown drove through the corner and fired several gunshots into his Honda vehicle causing significant damage before speeding off.

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
