RBPF Nassau: Weekend homicides identified - 8 arrested for murder -

Nassau, Bahamas - Police have identified weekend homicide victims:

The first victim has been identified as 44 – year old Dary Fenelus of Eneas Lane who was shot and killed at his residence on Saturday 24th January 2015.

The second victim has been identified as 21 – year old Angelo Dorsett Jr. of Quintine Alleywho was shot and killed at the G-Spot Nightclub on Sunday 25th January 2015.

Police are reporting the arrest of 8 persons for murder, possession of dangerous drugs, armed robbery, and outstanding court warrants as their anti-crime operation continued last night.The operation which is consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, targeted persons involved in criminal activities, such as drugs and firearms, persons wanted for various criminal offences, prolific offenders and persons wanted for outstanding criminal warrants.The operation was under the command of Superintendent Clayton Fernander.

8 arrests in 24 hour period

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, Mobile Division saturation patrols intended to reduce crime and to minimize the ability for criminals to commit criminal activities resulted in the arrest of eight (8) persons during the past 24 hours for various minor and major offences.
