Nassau Traffic Changes for Nov 9th Remembrance Day Service

NASSAU, The Bahamas – The following is a Public Announcement from the Traffic Department of the Royal Bahamas Police Force pertaining to traffic changes surrounding the Remembrance Day Service on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 11:00am at Christ Church Cathedral on George Street.

ROAD CLOSURE:

From 10:00am until after the Remembrance Day Service, at Christ Church Cathedral, the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic:

 (a)     GEORGE STREET BETWEEN BAY AND DUKE STREETS
    
From 12:00 noon until after the procession passes from Christ Church Cathedral the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic.

(a)       DUKE STREET BETWEEN CUMBERLAND AND MARKET STREETS                 
            
(b)       PRINCESS STREET BETWEEN FREDERICK AND MARKET STREETS

(c)     SHIRLEY STREET BETWEEN FREDERICK AND EAST STREETS      

(d)      PARLIAMENT STREET BETWEEN EAST HILL AND BAY STREETS

(e)     BANK LANE BETWEEN SHIRLEY AND BAY STREETS       


TRAFFIC DIVERSION

At the commencement of both services – at the Cathedral and at the Cenotaph -- vehicular traffic not connected to the service will be diverted through side streets.


NO PARKING

From 7:00am until after the service, no vehicle will be permitted to park on the following streets:

(a) GEORGE STREET BETWEEN BAY AND DUKE STREETS - BOTH SIDES

(b) PARLIAMENT STREET BETWEEN EAST HILL STREET   - BOTH SIDES
        WOODES RODGERS WHARF

(c) BANK LANE BETWEEN SHIRLEY AND BAY STREETS     - BOTH SIDES
