Family Guardian Insurance has the following position open in our Nassau branch for a
Receptionist.
JOB SUMMARY:
- To interface with all persons, in person and by telephone ensuring that they receive the warmest welcome possible.
- To effectively and efficiently facilitate the connection of the visitor to the department or employee that can best provide the service the visitor requires.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Warmly greeting all customers both walk-ins and via telephone, ensuring that they are directed to the appropriate department / personnel for service
- Ensure that clients are recorded on the Sign in/Sign-out Log at the Reception Desk
- Assist in answering main Phone Lines for the entire building
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Meet minimum entry level requirements: High School Diploma and 5 BGCSE’s passes with Math and English passes of C and above
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of customers and maintain a friendly helpful manner
- Strong ability to work quickly and independently and to manage large volumes of callers/clients
- Ability to proactively recognize and advise of issues
- Strong communication (verbal and written) skills
- Good technical skills in computer software, electronic messaging, office equipment, etc.
