Nassau, Bahamas -  For over ten years staff members at Family Guardian have contributed voluntarily to a Staff Charity Fund in order to assist worthy community causes and social outreach programs.

In late December, the staff made a donation to Hands for Hunger, noting the commendable efforts by the humanitarian organization to collect and redistribute food to the disadvantaged.

Last month, the staff made a donation to the Breath Easy Campaign to assist in fund-raising efforts for the purchase of ventilators and incubators for the Princess Margaret Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Mr. Kelly joined Family Guardian in 2000 and most recently held the position of Assistant Vice President, Finance. In his expanded role, he will have overall responsibility for supervising the fiscal management and financial reporting of the Company.

Mr. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from St. Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and he is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute of Atlanta, Georgia...

Mr. Percentie joined Family Guardian in 2007 as Manager, Investments. In his expanded role, he will give further management support to the continued growth and development of Family Guardian’s investment and wealth accumulation products.

Nassau, Bahamas - Mr. Barry Saunders, President of the Pathfinders of The Bahamas recently accepted a donation from Family Guardian Insurance Company, which will assist Pathfinders in continuing to provide education, care and support for persons living with AIDS.

Nassau, Bahamas - Family Guardian and the Barracudas Swim Club partnered again this year to host the 24^th Annual Family Guardian Swim Meet held at the Betty Kelly-Kenning Swim Complex.

Michael Adderley, Family Guardian’s Assistance Vice President, Financial Services, (centre of photo) presented the company’s sponsorship proceeds to Barracudas Swim Club president, Mancer Roberts, and congratulated the swimmer, coaches and officials for producing a successful swim meet that attracted participation from many of the country’s competitive swim clubs. Family Guardian has been a proud sponsor of the November swim meet since 1985.

Nassau, Bahamas - Family Guardian recently presented its annual scholarship award to the College of The Bahamas, which will enable eight deserving students to pursue their educational goals. At a reception at the company ’ s Corporate Centre, Family Guardian ’ s Corporate Secretary, Fiona McLean presented the scholarship proceeds to COB representative, Felicity Humblestone. Since its inception in 1988, Family Guardian ’ s scholarship programme has provided over $300,000 in financial assistance to more than 80 students at the College.
