These are the brilliant Bahamian authors with brilliant books:

Nicollette Bethel, Marion Bethel, Christian Campbell, Emile Hunt, Sonia Farmer, Ernestia M. Fraser, Helen Klonaris, Lelawattee Manoo-Rahming, Patricia Glinton Meicholas, Gilbert Morris, Angelique Nixon, Patrick Rahming, Keith Russell, Obediah Michael Smith, Ian Gregory Strachan and Telcine Turner-Rolle. [The length of this list quadruples were I to include the authors I love and admire of the wider Caribbean - among them, Derek Walcott and V.S. Naipaul, Nobel Laureates who, fortunately, are established and are well known worldwide already.]

How to/who to make our books – these authors go around the world – into Europe and the USA - into Canada and Australia – into India and China – into Japan and Singapore  and all across the continent of Africa.

We are being shortchanged but so are these places just mentioned and their citizens. Certainly the works of Bahamian authors mentioned are as sweet as Kentucky Fried Chicken that is known to be finger licking good.

Who is it and with what machinery or mechanism who is responsible for the combination of the Colonel’s six herbs and spices being known and consumed as widely as it is?

Works of these authors - with modest me among them - need to be spread as widely as the Gospel. The Gospel I know, to get where it has – to be where it is has taken 2000 years. Fortunately the machinery exists now to make what happened in 2000 years happen in two. Who has the key to turn it on on our behalf is who I am seeking - is who I am petitioning with this note.
