Three (3) Bahamian men ages 45, 40 and 34 are in custody following a major drug bust by police on Wednesday 2nd April 2014.

According to reports, around 5:15am, DEU officers in collaboration with Police Marine Support Services and OPBAT (DEA Team) intercepted a 30 foot Midnight Express go-fast vessel in the area of Cargill Creek, Andros occupied by three men. A search was conducted of the vessel and approximately 1,200 pounds of marijuana was seized with a street value of 1.2 million dollars. The men were arrested and brought to the capital along with the drugs.

Investigations are ongoing.
