Nassau man dead after shooting on Soldier Road Nassau

Nassau, Bahamas  -  Police  are seeking the public’s assistance in solving a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Thursday 6th November 2014.

According to reports, shortly after 7:00am, the deceased was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a female friend on Soldier Road West, when two men armed with handguns fired several shots at the vehicle and sped off in a Honda Odyssey vehicle. The deceased received a gunshot wound to the arm and chest. The woman drove the vehicle to the premises of the Central Detective Unit on Thompson Boulevard, where the deceased was pronounced dead by EMS personnel.

A short while later, police took the woman into custody after they found a handgun with a quantity of ammunition inside of her handbag.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of wanted persons or any information about crimes and other illegal activities in their communities, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands) or the nearest Police Station
