With the evolving global pandemic COVID-19, these are unprecedented
times and the Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited (GBPA), in our role
as regulator, must balance the need for a healthy electric utility with
upgraded technology and infrastructure, against the needs of the
consumer and the island’s economy.

digital food voucher programme in the Kanoo Pays app to support the
efforts of the Grand Bahama Food Distribution Task Force to provide food

Scotiabank Employees in Grand Bahama diagnosed with COVID-19

We can confirm that two employees attached to our Freeport Branch have
tested positive for COVID-19. We have been working very closely with the
Ministry of Health (MOH) to have all other staff members from that
branch tested and in the interim they have been advised to self-isolate
for 14 days.

Each anniversary of Independence, we honour our forefathers for their
invaluable contributions to building this small, but great and proud
sovereign nation. It has been a challenging ten months for all Grand
Bahamians and, at this time of Independence, the Grand Bahama Port
Authority, Limited (GBPA) thought it fitting to honour those who so
tragically perished in Hurricane Dorian.

Grand Lucayan Employee Separations: A Fulfillment of Obligation Under Agreement for Sale

A phased separation of employees of the Grand Lucayan Resort commenced,
with effect from June 24th, 2020, as a condition of the Agreement for
Sale with Bahamas Ports International, executed on March 2nd, 2020.
