Sun ‘n Fun International, Florida’s largest conference holder, which began a new tourism marketing partnership with The Bahamas on June 19, 2018, has commenced promoting general aviation and fly outs to The Islands Of The Bahamas ahead of its October 1 marketing launch.  Starting today, Sun ‘n Fun has added The Islands Of The Bahamas general aviation guidelines, benefits and diverse product offerings for private pilots desirous of flying into The Bahamas to its website www.flysnf.org/bahamas.  Also included on the website is the schedule for The Bahamas’ upcoming aviation seminars at the 2018 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh... The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation (BMOTA) is deeply saddened by yesterday’s tour boat incident in Exuma. We pray for the family of the passenger who succumbed to her injuries, and offer our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends as they mourn her loss. Our prayers are also with all the other passengers who were aboard as they recover.

The Ministry of Tourism immediately sought to lend assistance to those affected and continues to work on the ground to provide emotional support and to help facilitate any needed arrangements...

Andros crab bisque, Long Island duck rillettes; citrus dusted Long Island hog snapper atop roasted fennel, artichokes, kalamata olives, saffron- coconut foam and island style coconut cakes with tropical fruit stew, mango rum cream and roast corn shebet were just some of the scrumptious dishes on the Taste of the Caribbean’s gala menu held at Baha Mar recently.

The 14-member National Culinary Team developed by the Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA), gave tourism officials, stakeholders and sponsors food for thought as they head to Miami, Florida to take on the region in the Taste of the Caribbean competition from June 22-26.

Q1 Tourism results are in: arrivals and room revenue are up in the Bahamas - Jun 14, 2018 - 11:54:49 AM

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation (BMOTA) is pleased to report that first quarter international visitor results point to an increase in arrivals, signaling that business turnaround  from Q4 of 2017 has continued to flow into 2018. The Ministry is anticipating a strong summer season for tourism across the destination. 

Overall, The Bahamas experienced significant increases in foreign air and sea arrivals, which is up 2.8%. Foreign air arrivals alone reached a substantial 18% increase compared to Q1 of 2017...

Tourism and Aviation officials from 28 countries and territories are in The Islands Of The Bahamas this week for the third annual Caribbean Aviation Meetup.

Dubbed the region’s largest aviation conference, the conclave, which is being hosted by the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation (BMOTA), is scheduled from June 12-14.

Children of all ages along with their parents and families came from near and far to participate in the 16th Annual Our Kids World Family Fun Fest held April 28 and 29, at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Islands Of The Bahamas, including Bahamasair and Sandyport Beach Resort, were prominently featured at the two-day show, which attracted more than 20,000 families.
