CANADA - Vancouver Fashion Week returns for its 26th consecutive season featuring designers from across the globe during the week, September 28th through October 4th, 2015. The event will return to the Chinese Cultural Centre.

VFW announced their S/S16 season and will open its doors to designers, media, buyers, agents, and the general public for 7 days featuring an array of Vancouver’s top creative artists.

We've been following the modeling career of former Mr. Bahamas, Kendrick Kemp for years now, and he's always moving and shaking in the modeling world. Even though he's been traveling a lot to Toronto, Canada for well over a year, he still returns home to oversee his annual initiative the Fashion For a Cause event which supports the Bahamas AIDS Foundation.

Ashley Smith is experiencing an adrenaline rush as time draws nigh for the Miss Bahamas Organization’s (MBO) Top Model competition, of which she will be vying for the Top Designer award.

This student of style will be among 15 fashion design students and alum of The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institution (BTVI), who have been designing and creating avante garde pieces for contestants to model during the show dubbed, ‘Fashion in the Sky.’ The competition will be held on August 16th in the Sky Bahamas hanger.

Bahamian fine art photographer, Winston D. Munnings has recently entered into a design collaboration with VIDA as one of its international designers. VIDA is a Google Ventures-backed fashion e-commerce platform that brings together designers and makers around the world to create original ladies apparel. The platform gives artists like Winston, the chance to convert their creative design vision into products like scarves, tops, and dresses.

“When the invitation was extended by VIDA’s Connie Kim, I knew right away that my brand of photography would be a perfect fit for what that company has in mind,” Winston said. Kim is a VIDA recruiter who said that she came across Winston’s work on the internet...

Fashion Design students of The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI) will have an opportunity of a lifetime this summer when they showcase their talents during the Miss Bahamas Organization’s (MBO) Top Model competition.

Dubbed Fashion in the Sky, the competition slated for August 8th, 2015, is one of the preliminary events of the Miss Universe Bahamas and Miss World Bahamas pageants.

Nassau, Bahamas - Young Bahamian stylist, Shannon Collie lost two family members to cancer in the span of two years. This inspired him to create "Fashion Beats Cancer" a charity fashion show for Cancer Society of The Bahamas which was held on November 14th, 2015 at Mario's Bowling and Entertainment Palace. 

"It was definitely a show to remember, for myself, the models and the survivors that were present," said Collie.
