‘A Reservoir of History’  Commemorates its 56th Anniversary on October 5th, (1959 to October 5th 2015). 

Theme: “Perpetuating Our Bahamian History”Members of The Bahamas Historical Society and the public are invited to a week of events October 5th  through 10th , 2015.
 
All activities are being held at The Bahamas Historical Society & Museum, #28 Shirley Street & Elizabeth Avenue, Nassau, Bahamas.

Monday, 5th October, 2015   Official Launch - Time: 6:00p.m.
Tuesday, 6th October, 2015   Open House – Time 11;00a.m.–3:00p.m.
Wednesday, 7th October, 2015  Senior Citizen’s Day - by invitation
Thursday, 8th October, 2015 – Youth Day – by invitation
Thursday, 8th October, 2015 – BHS Speaks -Time: 6:00 p.m.
Friday, 9th October, 2015 –  Open House  - Time 11:00 a.m.– 3:00p.m.       Saturday, 10th October, 2015 – Family Day – 11:00a.m.-3:00p.m.
 

The Bahamas Historical Society (BHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to stimulating interest in Bahamian History and to the collection and preservation of material relating thereto. Its Headquarters, the former IODE Hall, was a gift from the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire (IODE). BHS is on Shirley Street and Elizabeth Avenue in Nassau.
