Hi I'm Glenn Ferguson, resident wedding officiant and wedding planner at Bahamas Destination Wedding with another spotlight on weddings in the Bahamas.

Planning a Bahamas Destination wedding on the beach is easier than think. So here are four helpful tips for planning a Bahamas Destination wedding on the beach.

1. Choose your Island.

While most persons are familiar with Nassau and Paradise Island which are located on the island of New Providence, there are more than 700 islands and cays in the Bahamas with more than 5,000 miles of pristine powdery sand beaches. Some of the other islands to consider are Andros, Abaco, Cat island, Eleuthera's Harbour Island and the Exuma Cays.

2. Spread the word.

You want to extend the courtesy of letting your family and friend know the date for your destination wedding as soon as it is set.  So that they will have the time needed to make their attendance at your wedding possible.

And while you do no need a passport to travel to the Bahamas, you will need a passport to reenter the United State after the wedding is over. So they may need to get a passport if they do not already have one or renew any expired ones. And this can take some time.

3. Set your Budget.

Almost anything is possible when it comes to having your wedding on the beach in the Bahamas and you are only limited by your imagination and the amount of money you want to spend.

So you want to decide and set your budget taking into consideration travel, hotel accommodations, meals and entertainment for destination wedding.
Bearing in mind that if you decide to have your wedding on the beach during the peak tourist season then it will cost a little more for your wedding.

4. Hire a Bahamas wedding planner.

You want to contact a wedding planner to help you with the planning as soon as you decide. You will find that having local expertise, advice and guidance to be invaluable. And your wedding planner will be able to help you with:
  1. Finding the ideal beach for your wedding ceremony,
  2. Wedding officiant
  3. Venue for the reception
  4. Help with requirements for getting marriage license
  5. Advise on weather condition and best time for your beach wedding
  6. Assist with vendor evaluation and selection
  7. Any other arrangement need for your wedding.
If you follow these four simple steps in planning a Bahamas destination wedding on the beach you should be able really enjoy a stress free time while celebrating your love on a romantic beach in paradise.
