Dolce and Gabbana introduced their fall winter collection with a
theme of a magical forest with models dresses as princesses with swans,
squirrels and owls images on A line coats and silk-brocade dresses
topped off with jeweled balaclavas.
With past collections we have seen many ornate Sicilian images of
ancient buildings and gold coins, this was a fairy tale inspired
childlike story book fun with the use of animals and floral motifs on
coats and dresses.
I especially love the use of the key motif that became a chiffon
print on a beautiful high waited dress, absolutely breath taking while
whimsical.
Dolce and Gabbana’s collection has kept the over all silhouettes
clean, still wearable even as the dresses and coats were highly
decorated, as they did not over power each outfit.
The fur shorts are out of this world, very luxe indeed perhaps for Little Red Riding Hood.
To round out the collection, there were a few stylist black dresses and tailored suits.
The finale was a chorus of models dresses in glittering silver with
little black dresses tells you that Dolce and Gabbana still brings us
the best of Italian luxury fashion.
