Miu Miu Spring Summer 15 collection at Paris Fashion Week – miumiu.com

As the sister label of Prada, Miu Miu for the younger woman has always intrigued us with their chic Italian fashions. For next season, designer Miuccia Prada has put us on notice that trouble is coming, as she’s all bad.

Miu Miu brings us a single concept for spring

At Paris Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015 shows held in October, Miu Miu had a multitude of looks based on a bad girl theme made up from three pieces, a midriff top, the high waisted pencil skirt and a housecoat.

Many of Miuccia Prada’s ensembles on the runway were un-coordinated, or slightly off, with plenty of plaid which gave an air of punk inspired rebellion within mainstream society.

The housecoat is the foundation of this collection, made from haute couture fabrics by Bucol, a famous silk house in Lyon, France. Interestingly, she used the most expensive hand woven fabrics refashioned to look like regular polyester. Handbags were also small as to not distract from the silhouette.

Detailing is superb with fur trim and embroidered flowers on coats paired with delicate tuxedo ruffle crop tops. Soft pastels from pink to lavender abound, combined with over-sized bowed high heels that certainly does away with any innocence. The opposite from her Spring Summer 14 collection which I titled Flirtatious Innocence from last November.

The show was held in an arched Protestant Church within the heart of Paris with the audience sitting in wooden pews. Perhaps seeking repentance?
