The World Cup trophy traveled the world in a bespoke trunk by Louis Vuitton, and it seemed only fitting that their Brazilian native brand ambassador Gisele Bundchen was clad in their latest collection during the statuette unveiling at the championship game between Germany and Argentina in Brazil.

As Gisele Bundchen unveiled the coveted gold statuette before the championship game in Maracana Stadium, Rio de Janeiro last Sunday, she was joined by retired Spanish defender, Carles Puyol.

The 33 year-old supermodel was stunning in a thigh-skimming belted turquoise dress with a blue, reef like motif and a silver spike belt from the 2015 Louis Vuitton resort collection.

This blue tone was perfect for showing off her beautiful bronzed skin and she complimented her look with this season's hottest pair of ankle-strap high heels with a white styled monogram, which will be available in stores later this fall.

In keeping with Louis Vuitton DNA, the World Cup trophy case resembled their iconic monogrammed canvas travel trunk with a brass lock and fittings.

Custom designed to safely hold the World Cup trophy which is a solid 18 carat gold, weighting 13.6 pounds and standing 14.4 inches tall.

It has been reported that the World Cup trophy has traveled nearly 144,000 kilometers / 93,000 miles since last September on a world tour before arriving in Brazil for the games.

This is the second consecutive trophy case made by Louis Vuitton as they presented their first case at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Louis Vuitton, the only fashion sponsor at the 2014 World Cup played it low key which was wise considering the local controversy with the FIFA World Cup Brazil Committee up to and during the games.
