Very few things make my fashion obsessed heart beat faster than a killer pair of boots. Alas, since I moved from the sidewalks of New York City to the sandy shores of Nassau, Bahamas my boot wearing days seem to be all but over.

However one of the most synergistic mergers in fashion history is that of shoe and boot – creating the bootie, a chic alternative without the bulk warmth of traditional boots.

Whether you’re looking for a pair to wear at the office or a spicy pair for nights out on the town, there are lots of options to keep you fashionable and comfortable. From trendy to retro, sexy to classic – there is a style to suit every taste and every look. Pair them with a pant suit, jeans and a tee, a chic dress, a pencil skirt – virtually everything!

Wild Thing

Heed the call of the wild and add some spice to your shoe game with animal print booties. Animal print is a really fun print to incorporate into your wardrobe, and when done right can look rich and uber sexy. However many women avoid animal print like the plague, because when done wrong, it’s one of the most heinous fashion faux pas. If you admire the edginess of animal print, but fear dabbling with apparel – err on the side of caution with fun animal print booties. Whether you favor leopard, cheetah, zebra or tiger print, it’s a surefire way to add interest and personality to your look.

Wedge Booties

Wedge heels are like a cheat sheet for wearing high heels – all the benefits with none of the work. If you’re not a fan of wearing heels because you prefer comfort over style, your worries are over. Wedge booties give you all the benefits traditional stilettos do – they make your calves look stellar, elongate your legs and tighten your core -with a flat base that makes wearing them for long periods of time a cinch.

Clogs

This trend which has recently resurfaced takes me way back. The last time I wore a pair of clogs I was a preteen, head over heels for my pair of camel colored 3 inch studded clogs, which I unfortunately paired with pink socks almost every time I wore them. Thankfully, the fashion gods have reincarnated the modern clog in a form that’s ten times hotter that its predecessor, replete with supple leather, peep toes, edgy studs and of course platform wooden heels.

Make the Cut

What’s hotter than a killer pair of booties? Booties with intricate cut outs to show off supple, soft feet and a killer pedicure. The caged heels of last year have become the caged booties of this fall and winter season. This style is perfect for our climate – the edginess of a boot with the sexiness of a sandal. Architecture for your feet, cut out booties this season are more intricate than ever before, the perfect statement shoe.

Up your style quotient as the weather gets cooler with a pair of booties. A hot trend now, this style of shoe is sure to be in fashion for years to come so invest in a great pair and enjoy them season after season.
