Nassau, Bahamas: 25th August, 2008. Mode Îles, Ltd., organizer of Islands of the World Fashion Week, has announced the names of the designers committed, to-date, to present their creations at the premiere of the event scheduled for the 5th - 8th November at the historic British Colonial Hilton and the Atlantis Resort.

The designers, creators of both garments and accessories, will showcase their fashions on the catwalks during the four days of the event. Both new and established designers will present styles ranging from couture to casual, bridalwear, sports, swimwear, and ready-to-wear. Arianne Etuk, Chief Operations Officer and spokesperson for the organizers, noted that "these designers represent thirteen island states, each with its unique culture and fashion perspective...

Nassau, Bahamas - 12th August, 2008:  Kevan Hall, fashion designer to stars such as Vanessa Williams, Sharon Stone, Katherine Heigl, Felicity Huffman, Ruby Dee, Debra Messing, Angela Bassett, Salma Hayek and Charlize Theron, will close out the week of activities during the Islands of the World Fashion Week in November with the presentation of his latest collection of stunning garments on the catwalk of the Closing Reception at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island.
 
Mr. Hall distinguished himself in the fashion industry from a young age, having studied fashion design at Cass Technical High School in Detroit and then at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in California where he received the Peacock Award for "Outstanding Fashion Design". Mr. Hall's career path then took him to the hallowed house of Halston where he became the Design and Creative Director, reviving the brand to its former glory...

Nassau, Bahamas: 23rd July, 2008 – Nick Verreos, the noted designer behind the label, Nikolaki, will showcase his latest creations on the catwalk of Islands of the World Fashion Week in November, 2008 as one of the select international guest designers.

 

Nick Verreos is best known as one of the breakout designers from Bravo’s Project Runway (Second Season), and winner of the Barbie Challenge. Launched in 2001, with his partner David Paul, the line Nikolaki is carried in stores such as Henri Bendel, Nordstrom, Fred Segal, Diavolina, Aero & Co. and Mushi Mushi. Celebrities such as Marlee Matlin, Heidi Klum, Eva Longoria and Brenda Strong of Desperate Housewives, Patricia Arquette, Kathy Griffin and Nikka Costa have all worn his creations.

In addition to creating his Red Carpet designs for Nikolaki, Mr. Verreos has extended his success as a fashion expert on TV Guide’s Fashion Wrap with Lisa Rinna, Fashion Team, and E! Countdown to the Academy Awards. He is also one of the Glam Squad on the MSN.com style site, Style Studio...

Nassau, The Bahamas - The fashion world is buzzing about “Islands of the World Fashion Week” (IWFW) to take place in Nassau, The Bahamas, November 5-8, 2008, set to showcase well-known and new designers from islands around the world and to promote cultural diversity and creativity.   The producer of IWFW is Mode lIes, Ltd., an affiliate of The Montaque Group, a diversified financial services operation with interest in film finance and production.   Inaugural IWFW venues will include the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau and the Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island, The Bahamas.
