Ps.61: 1.  Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
: 2.  From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

If there is ever a time that we as a nation should be crying out to God (Yahweh) that time is now.  No matter who you are or what’s your in life there are times when your heart will get overwhelmed. And its in these moments based upon your relationship with God; that you should be able to cry out to Him, knowing that He not only hears you but will also move on your behalf.

In the above Psalm we see David (A man after God’s own heart) who was distraught from fighting so many enemies making his petition to God; hears what he says in verses one and two.

Ps.61: 1.  Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
: 2.  From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

David knew that the God of Israel was faithful therefore he had no problem with placing his trust in God.

Ps.61: 3.  For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
: 4.  I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
: 5.  For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

King David was a man of prayer; there is nothing like having a leader that knows how to pray and constantly seeks the face of God. David prayed for the prolongation of his kingship.
Ps.61: 6.  Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.
: 7.  He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

David offers a vow of thanksgiving and praise as God answers
Ps.61: 8.  So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

As we go through these turbulent times let’s make it our business to cry out to God, for there is nobody that can deliver as God can.  Don’t allow the enemy, through the spirit of pride to cause you to live a frustrated / defeated life as you’re overwhelmed with the situation /s that you’re facing.

(1Sam.13:14)  David, a man after God’s own heart despite his many issues and challenges knew how to cry unto God.  As men / leaders, as soon as we humble ourselves and return to that place / position of crying unto God, we will see a supernatural turn around in our homes, communities and nation. The women / mothers of our nation are crying everyday as a result of the blood shed and murders (the lost of sons & daughters) in our communities.

There is absolutely nothing that can be compared to when men take their rightful position of prayer warriors and watchmen of the nation / homes.  The enemy is constantly working overtime to hinder and prevent men from taking their position; for he knows of the power that’s made available to such men. Therefore for the enemy to take the nation, the house / home he first must binds the strong man and then subtly deals with the weaker vessels (the women)

Mk.3: 27.  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.

As men, if we seek to set our houses in order as the Holy Spirit leads, our neighborhoods would be positively impacted; which will also impact our communities and ultimately impacting our nation. Therefore instead of us (Men) crying about the crime and high murder rate in our nation the buck starts and stop with us.
For about ninety five percent (95%) of the crimes and murders that’s being committed are done by young men between the ages of 15yrs - 45yrs.  A great factor in most of these young men lives is the absentee of a father, a strongman / role model.

Men, we are without excuse; for when we look at / study the life of David; here’s a man with many issues and had much trouble in his house. But David sought the Lord, inspite of all his troubles, and God answered David’s prayers each step of the way.
It’s time for us (Men) to cry unto God  “Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer” we can’t continue blaming the Government (P.L.P or F.NM.), when it our sons, grandsons, our brothers, nephews, cousins, etc; that’s wreaking havoc in our land. And it’s not until we (Men) take our God ordained rightful place / position as strongman of our homes, communities and nation that we will see and experience peace on our streets, and in our homes.

Men, let’s unite; let‘s come together and flip the scrip on the enemy and save our young men.  Let’s restore order in our homes, let’s show our young men how  real men deals with life issues and challenges.

Hear our cry, O God:
