It’s during this time of each year that we ride the waves of tradition and religion in celebrating Mother’s Day.  Might I say to you that’s reading this article “Don’t wait for May 9th, to celebrate Mom, but rather celebrate her everyday”.

Why do we have to religiously wait for a selected day of the month to honor and publicly acknowledge our Mothers?  Are the flowers, cards and dinners cheaper on May 9th ?  What our plans for Mom the rest of the year ?
Whenever one mother is mistreated or set aside the whole essence of the Mother’s Day celebration is a stench in God’s nostrils.

After all that some mothers went through and had to sacrificed in order that their children would have a better future.  Do you know that there are some children who upon achieving certain status in life, that would conveniently put Mom aside?
It’s a sin and crying shame before God when children place their mothers in the Old Folks, Senior citizens, Retirement homes.
I Thank God for the nurses and other staff members of the various homes who cares for our elderly; but the caring and the welfare of our senior citizens ( Mom’s and Dad’s ) must always be the first priority of their adult children with the assistance nurses as the case may be; rather than being placed in an old-folks home.

As we celebrate this Mother’s Day, I would just like to highlight a some unique Godly characteristic of a mother.
1.  A mother’s prayer is in a total different category than the prayer of anybody else. It dose not matter what a person maybe faced with; as long as they know that (Mom) is praying for them it brings an added peace.
2. There is no earthly love like a mother’s love.  A person could be the worst criminal the country has ever seen; he or she could be the town’s drunk, a reject of society or the black sheep of a family.  But to Mom, that’s her baby; and if she has to stand alone in defense and support of her child, even to the point of death and in some cases after death,  then so be it.

Watch this!
Mothers are special gifts from God to us and it’s imperative that we, at all times treat and honor the gift with the utmost respect.  Mothers have a special line of communication with God ( Father Yahweh ) because of her role and position as mother.

God went outside of religion and tradition and selected the Virgin Mary to be the Mother of His Son.  For if it was left in the hands of religion and tradition Mary would have been stoned to death according to the law.
Mothers will always find favor with God despite what they maybe going through; as long as they hold fast and fear not, God will see them through. (Lk.1:30. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God).

A mother’s favor with God and man has the ability to produced World Leaders, Movie Stars and  Professional Athletes, etc;  The children that understands, honors and respects the virtues in the gifts / mothers that God has given will experience the FOG ( Favor of God).
To mistreat and offend the gifts / mothers; is to offend the giver of the gift and there is not a person that‘s in his or her right mind that would want to offend the most high God.

One doesn’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that God’s favor is upon all Mothers.  It could be your mother or somebody else's, as long as she’s respected and treated right God’s favor is available.  If God honors and esteems mothers highly should we not do the same always?

Children who have mistreated or have been disrespectful to their Moms in any way; or may have put their mothers aside in one of the various homes mentioned in this article have somehow forgotten. That is was Mom who had to change their soiled diapers, who sat up all night with them and nursed them back to good health.

To those faithful ones who are taking care of their Mothers; may the favor of God always be with you.  And the rest of you who have passed your mother onto these homes, its not to late for you, REPENT, and go get your Mom, bring her to your home; you and the rest of the family care of her.

Make mom’s latter days; days of peace and enjoyment with her own family.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our Mothers; Continue to walk in the FOG (Favor of God)
