There was once a saying that said “Lady Justice is Blind” well, this
saying maybe true based upon which side of the fence you’re on in
today’s society.
If you’re a poor black person from over the
hill / the ghetto not only is Lady Justice blind; but there is even a
possibility that she was born with eyes in her head, concerning you
feeling the full weight of the law.
Now, if you’re of a foreigner, a
lighter shade / Caucasian; then not only does Lady Justice has the
ability to see, but she’s also inclined to turn her head / look the
other way. Among the multiple problems we’re facing here in the
Bahamas this fact of Lady Justice being able to see can’t be denied no
matter how the eloquent Legal Eagles / Attorneys and the powers that
be, tries to refute it.
The only answer / solution to this problem is to blindfold Lady Justice once more and forever.
There
is no need for names calling when it come to swift justice in the
Bahamas, but what logical answer can be given to the poor Bahamians
some who have since died / passed on waiting for justice to be
administered in their legal matters / situation.
Whereas on the
other hand persons and matters such as Anna Nicole, John Travolta, The
tourist (who beat down a few Niggers / Police Officers) and The
Barefoot Bandit could be given the fast tract RED CARPET treatment of
justice.
This two face
system of justice that’s at work in the Bahamas can be liken to that of
the medical condition called “Gangrene” which if not immediately and
properly dealt with / treated can prove to be deadly to the person
affected.
Despite the few bad apples within the Royal Bahamas Police
Force which are being weeded out daily by the zero tolerance for
corruption of Commissioner Greenslade and his executive team.
When
it come to the detection of criminal activates and the apprehension of
criminals every Bahamian (even criminals) should be very proud of our
Police Force.
So today, the problems that we’re facing as a nation
with crime is not a Policing problem; but rather it’s one of a judicial
system that’s no longer blind and turns its head based upon one’s
political / financial status and color.
A judicial system is set
in place to exact justice against those who violates the laws of the
land, and wherever there is any shred of corruption in a judicial
system or the appearance thereof; then that system has been compromised
and must be set back on its right course immediately.
Naturally speaking:
The
disadvantage to the average Bahamian who happens to be on the wrong
side of the fence is this: Outside of their judicial system which is no
longer blind, there is no other entity of which they can call on to
intervene.
The church which was once looked up to and perceived as
the moral compass of society has been so badly compromised by
politically motivated religious leaders and those whose passion it is
to generate wealth; rather than having leaders who would boldly stand
up and cry out against every form of injustice and intervene on behalf
of the downtrodden.
Justice should always be blind and never
biased to the keeping of the law. Whereas visionary leaders are to
ensure that justice remains blind.
Watch this!
Prov.29:18. Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
There’s
just something about vision and the law; notwithstanding that justice
is blind yet vision and the law working together ensures that Lady
Justice is guided directly.
Spiritually speaking, here’s a few questions:
KJV:
Job.8:3. Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
NLT:
Job.8:3. Does God twist justice? Does the Almighty twist what is right?
Here’s a stern warning to the country’s elite and those of you who compromisingly sits in various seats of authority.
NLT:
Ps.82: 1. God presides over heaven's court; he pronounces judgment on the judges:
: 2. "How long will you judges hand down unjust decisions? How long will you shower special favors on the wicked? Interlude
: 3. "Give fair judgment to the poor
and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.
The
Bahamas is a beautiful nation and if we continue to close our eyes to a
justice system which should be blind, but it’s not when it comes to
execution of its duties. The true essence of the Bahamas’ beauty would
be a thing of the past.
It’s time to rise up Bahamians
and take a stand against all forms of corruption and injustice no
matter if its emanating from the highest political or religious office
in the land right down to the least office.
Let’s ensure that justice remains blind:
