So the Preacher won’t have to lie

Live your life, so that when you die; the Preacher won’t have to lie whiles preaching at your funeral about you being a good, godly person.

I’ve attended hundreds of funeral services of persons who lived life on the wild side; or as reckless and wild as an unbroken stallion.  And as much as my sympathy and heart felt condolences goes out to the bereaved family; I do feel ten times sorry for the Religious Preacher who gets up and preaches a weak, watered down sermon in order to appease the family and friends of the deceased.

Meanwhile, outside on the church’s ground and in the street; friends and others are wearing T-shirts and badges / pins with a photo of the deceased, and consuming their alcohol beverages, smoking and Cussing like a man-o war sailor.
What has happen to the Bahamas? Where have we gone wrong in that not even a place of worship is regarded as holy any longer?

Years ago, in the entertainment world there was a saying that went something like this “Ladies & Gentlemen, Elvis has left the building”
Well, here’s a true statement / saying that we as a religious Christian nation don’t believe nor do we want to accept as facts: “Ladies & Gentlemen, the fear of God has left the Bahamas”

There was a time in the Bahamas where the utmost respect and reverence was given to the things of God when attending any kind church service or even just being on the grounds of a church.
Listen,  just about every grassroots neighborhood and community had a drunken ( Cooter Brown), and no matter how drunk or high Cooter Brown got; whenever he set foot on a church’s ground (especially) during any kind service, ( Cooter Brown) knew that he had to hold his peace; and if this was difficult for him to do due to whatever influence he might have been under.  Cooter Brown had enough sense and respect to stayed far away from the church.
Unfortunately, the Cooter Brown’s scenario is not the case today; for at some funerals and other church service / events armed Police Officers must be present.

As an educated religious nation, we’ve created and came up with our own version of what is holy and unholy.  Due to today’s church primary messages of prosperity and blessings; it’s like taboo to stress and consistently preach and teach holiness.  Therefore whenever the un-churched or sinner man comes to a church gathering (worship service, wedding, funeral, etc;) in most cases he / she leaves in the same poor spiritual state that they came.
Watch this!
In making no excuses for the sinner man leaving a (supposed to be) holy ghost filled church gathering; here’s a list of a few things that this man sees and at times may know that contributes to him not to believe in and receive the gospel message.

1. The Religious Leader or other prominent serving members are riddled with present day scandals of unholy living.
2. The perception that the church is all about money due to the incomplete, twisted prosperity gospel.
3. The shepherds / Religious leaders (Bishops, Doctors, Apostles, etc;) are living like kings high on the hill; whiles 90 %  of the sheepfold / church members are living as paupers low in the valley.

In speaking to this type of spiritual wickedness among the religious leaders here’s what Yeshuwa Messiah said:
Matt.23: 13.  But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

WWJD;  What Would Jesus Do ?  In studying the life and teachings of Yeshuwa Messiah based upon how He spoke out against the religious leaders; who played a significant role in the people being led astray and hindered from entering the kingdom of heaven. What do you think He would say to the religious leaders of today?

Despite all the negativity that’s our there concerning the church; Father Yahweh is raising up faithful sons and daughters that will teach the uncompromised, unadulterated word of God.  And as wayward as many of our young people might be their spirit man is crying out to be connected with the holy Spirit; but they refused to be saddled to the spirit of religion and tradition. Therefore many of today’s younger generation are vulnerable to the schemes and devices of the enemy.

Live your life so that the Preacher won’t have to lie!  Preacher, if you’re got to lie and not truthfully declare the word of God; Get out of the pulpit.
