What about Easter?

Easter was named after “Eostre” (a.k.a. Eastre) she was the great goddess of the Saxon people in northern Europe. Similarly the Teutonic dawn goddess of fertility was known variously as (Ostare, Ostara, Ostern, Eostra, Eostre, Eostur, Eastra, Eastur, Austron and Ausos. Her name came from the ancient word for spring “Eastre” similar goddess were known by other names in the ancient cultures around the Mediterranean and were celebrated in the springtime, some were:

Aphrodite - from ancient Cyprus; Ashtoreth - from ancient Israel; Astarte - from ancient Greece; Demeter – from ancient Mycenae; Hathor – from ancient Egypt; Ishtar – from ancient Assyria; Kali – from ancient India; and Ostara – a Norse goddess of fertility

An alternative explanation has been suggested. The name given by the Frankish church to Yeshuwa Messiah’s (a.k.a. Jesus) resurrection festival included the Latin word “Alba” which means: white. This was reference to the white robes that were worn during the festivals. “Alba” also means: “Sunrise” when the name of the festival was translated into German the “Sunrise” meaning was selected in error; this became “Ostern” in German. Ostern has been proposed as the origin of the word Easter.

The origin of the Easter bunny and egg began in Germany in the 1500’s; where the children were told that if they were good, that the hare / bunny would bring them eggs on Easter.

Hosea.4: 6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

This is one of the most quoted scriptures among the body of Christ today and yet believers are still being destroyed as they refused to get true knowledge of the God of Israel.  Throughout the bible Father Yahweh warned His people about accepting foreign gods and their customs.  Pagan worship and festivals have been methodically engrafted into the church.

The keeping of these types of worship services and festivals are the ones that generates lots of finances in the local churches. Therefore religious church leaders looks forward to these days on their church’s calendars; and will passionately use scripture verses out of context to condemn and try to refute anybody who speaks out or teaches against such tainted worship and festivals keepings.

The enemy, knowing that Father Yahweh commanded the children of Israel to annually keep certain festivals days forever (Ex.12:14).  Being the strategist that he is; and knowing that he can’t prevent the acknowledgment and celebrations of God’s ordained festivals days, but to the contrary he has contaminated these days via the subtile religious spirit of various paganistic worship hidden words such as Easter.

The true essence of Passover has been substituted and in some cases abandoned for the religious commercializing and merchandising of Easter; where both religious leaders and store merchants do very well financially.

Please note:  That during the time Yeshuwa walked the earth his adversaries wasn’t people like Barabbas; but rather His greatest adversaries were the religious leaders.

Watch this!  The Passover lamb of Exodus Chapter twelve symbolically represents Yeshuwa Messiah and not the religious worship of Easter.

Ex.12:1.And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,: 2.  This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.: 3.  Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:: 4.  And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.: 5.  Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:: 6.  And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

This selected Passover lamb was to be thoroughly inspected to ensure that it was without any kind of blemish. There were about three types of inspections that this lamb went through.

Therefore the lamb was selected on the 10th day and went through three days of inspection to insure its perfection, and on the 14th day it was to be killed (Ex.12:3, 6).

John.1:29. When John the Baptist introduced the Messiah to the people, he recognized Christ as the fulfillment of the Passover Lamb.

The betrayal and arrest of Yeshuwa

John.18:1-40.: 1-12. The lamb was selected (arrested): 13. The 1st inspection by Annas a Jewish high priest: 24. The 2nd inspection by Caiaphas the high priest in office that year: 28-40. The 3rd inspection was by Pilate a Roman official, who after inspecting Yeshuwa said “I find in him no fault at all” (v.38.) This lamb was without blemish.

Father Yahweh is raising up true sons and daughter who will not seek to promote themselves and ministries as many of today’s religious leaders are doing; in the merchandising of the gospel.
