Bahamian vocal talent, Angelique Sabrina premieres "Pull Up" video on MTV Buzzworthy - May 18, 2012 - 1:14:01 PM
MTV Buzzworthy calls her "the next Rihanna"
The last time we heard from young Angelique Sabrina, Bahamian
singer/songwriter who is signed to White Ocean Entertainment, she was
announcing her contest to attract dancers for her official "Pull Up"
video production. The new dance "Pull Up" was coined by 14 year old
Angelique herself and the official video seen here includes the
submission winners to the “Pull Up” contest, Dale
Sweeting’s and Raquel de Cardenas’ who were chosen by the
directors and can be seen at 1:13 and 1:54 minutes in the video
respectively.
Just this past week the much-anticipated new video premiered on MTV
Buzzworthy who are calling her the next Rhianna and gave her rave
reviews...

Maurice Glinton as he discusses the Hawksbill Creek Agreement signed
August 1st, 1955; the agreement has a 99-year lifespan that expires in 2054. The
Hawksbill Creek Agreement
was
made between the Government of the Bahamas and Mr Wallace Groves to
establish a city and free trade zone on Grand Bahama Island
Glinton also presents
background information on Freeport Power, and how it operated under the umbrella of
the Port Authority. "Only the Port Authority had the right to construct
and operate utilities. The electricity which was produced, all with
duty-free imported fuels, was confined for usage in the Port area,
nowhere else. It was not supposed to be a profit centre."

NASSAU, Bahamas - The
2011 Bahamas Halloween weekend was possibly the biggest and best ever!
Thousands of ghoulish night-crawlers from The Bahamas and around the
world, swarmed the historic City of Nassau for good-ole' haunting fun...
from Cable Beach, Arawak Cay to Bay Street, and the Atlantis Resort.
Superhero costumes were reportedly the most popular, this year, with
sightings of Superman, Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern and others
abound. The Royal Bahamas Police Force reported a relatively quiet
weekend (Friday to Monday) with no major incidents taking place amongst
the trick-or-treating.
The annual scream fest got off with a
Friday Night Frite at Mario's Haunted Mansion (Bowling &
Entertainment Palace). Watch the monster mash-up here in this Bahamas

GB Youth Film Competition winning entry, "Cyberbullying" by Katrina Dorsett - Nov 10, 2011 - 7:18:12 AM

Budding filmmaker Katrina Dorsett was the winning entry of the inaugural Grand Bahama Youth Film Competition (GBYFC)
for her film
Cyber-Bullying.
The GBYFC was created as a component
to the 2011 inaugural FLIFF on Location: Grand Bahama to showcase young
filmmakers’ work from the island.
Katrina, a 14 year old student
from Bishop Michael Elden, focused on an internationally recognized
topic affecting young people around the world. She says,
“As teenagers it can be hard growing
up with peer pressure and bullying. If you have low self-esteem, you
