Nassau, Bahamas - It's HERE! The wait is over, and t he much anticipated return of Islands of the World Fashion Showcase (IWFS) is underway  and the organizers are extremely excited about the event. The newly rebranded showcase is set to take place May 11-12, 2012  at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort with offshoot events around town.

 

Ten designers representing five countries will take part in the Showcase’s May edition. They include Chelsea Johnson, Courtney McIntosh , David Rolle, Harl Taylor Bag, Latoya Hanna-Moxey and Theodore Elyett all hailing from The Bahamas, Carol Fraser representing Guyana, Sharleen Logan from St. Lucia, Kimon Baptiste of St. Vincent and The Grenadines and Darcel de Vlugt from Trinidad & Tobago.

Nassau, Bahamas - Consider it the official cool down after a heated election season.  The newly re-branded Islands of the World Fashion Showcase (IWFS) debuts its forth installment of runway shows this Friday and the anticipation has much of the Caribbean a buzz.

The event, whose highlighted showcase will take place Friday, May 11th at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort, will feature 12 designers representing The Bahamas, Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago. Nassau, Bahamas: The wait is over.  The much anticipated return of Islands of the World Fashion Showcase (IWFS) is just days away and the organizers are extremely excited about the event. The newly rebranded showcase is set to take place May 11-12, 2012   at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort.

 

After a one-year hiatus , IWFS is ready to re- launch to the public , international press and fashion trade with an opening act that will arguably rival the Victoria Secret Fashion Show and highlight local musical talent .

Four artisans from very different design fields have accepted the challenge of taking materials they would traditionally use to build and accessorize homes, offices and other buildings and make them fit on a new kind of canvas – the human body.
