SkyBahamas flies high during National Family Island Regatta - Apr 29, 2010 - 8:24:57 PM
NASSAU, Bahamas -
SkyBahamas Airlines soared high
during this year’s 57th National Family Island Regatta, leading the
way with airlifts among commercial carriers.
Signing up as the official carrier/sponsor for this year’s
Regatta held in George Town, Exuma was something the company felt
obligated to
do according to CEO/President Captain Randy Butler. “Exuma is
considered the birthplace for
SkyBahamas; having given the airline its start some four years ago” says
Captain
Butler. The CEO further asserted his
view that safely transporting well over 1000 passengers into Exuma
during the
Regatta was not only a good business
move for the company, but felt that the airlifts also gave the local
Exuma
economy an extra stimulus that was so badly needed. “We wanted Exuma to
know
that they have been very supportive of us, and our company will continue
to be
supportive of them” say Butler....

is taking this time to honor the memories of two men, who have in some
significant
ways, shaped the company into the fine product it is today. SkyBahamas Remembers ...
James "Fat Hog" Adderley and
Capt. Dwayne "D-Bowe"
Bowe. These two men served originally with The Sky Unlimited
Organization,
and eventually joined or contributed to the SkyBahamas Team upon its
establishment in 2006. Their level of dedication and "spirit"
of superior service lives on in our company ... and continues to make
each Regatta flight a special experience for our customers.
The
loss of a loved
one is never easy for persons to accept, and on February 19, 2006 when
James "Fat Hog" Adderley, a former customer service representative
of Sky Unlimited and SkyBa-hamas passed away this was certainly the
case...
