SkyBahamas Airline has announced a special flight for the Second Annual Andros Business Outlook. The flight leaves Nassau at 7am on Wednesday, May 11 and returns at 6:30pm that day. The Andros Business Outlook is a half-day event running from 8:30am to 3pm.

Nassau, Bahamas - Officials of the Ministry of Tourism and Aviation, The Bahamas Air Traffic Controllers Union and  various Aviation stakeholders participated in a one-day National Aviation forum at the Wyndham Nassau Resort on Tuesday, April 18. The stakeholders met to discuss ways to strengthen aviation services in the country. The Government is currently holding discussions with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) with the view to acquire funds to improve and expand aviation in The Bahamas. It is anticipated that the funds would be used to implement safety regulations in the industry and also to expand night flight services to the Family Islands among other plans...

Freeport, Grand Bahama  - On Friday March 25, 2011, SkyBahamas made their inaugural voyage to Ft. Lauderdale Florida, from Freeport, Grand Bahama. They will begin offering services four days per week twice a day to Ft. Lauderdale from Freeport, says Mr. Kenneth Romer, CM, COO, Corporate Consultant.

The flight left the Freeport International Airport around 10 am arriving at the SheltAir Service Center in Ft. Lauderdale 35 minutes later.

The airline executives, along with journalists and travel agents were greeted by Mr. Steve Belleme, Business Development Manager, Broward County Aviation...

NASSAU, The Bahamas – As the musicians and performers end their week of involving themselves in Rake’n’Scrape on Cat Island in early October 2010, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Charles Maynard applauded the partnership and exchanges of expertise that will culminate with a Paris performance of the Bahamian musical art form. 

“This is definitely a wonderful opportunity for The Bahamas and we are very proud to be a part of it,” Minister Maynard said recently about the project.
