The police are appealing to the public for information to assist in their investigations into two separate shooting incidents that has left a man dead and another detained in hospital.

Reports are that shortly after 7:30pm on Wednesday 25th January 2017, a man was riding his bicycle on Murray Drive, Sunshine Park, when two men armed with handguns approached in a silver Honda vehicle and shot him before speeding off. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene...

A murder suspect on the police Most Wanted list was captured early this morning after nearly two weeks on the run.

Amal Hunter, AKA “Bow” was arrested without incident around 1:00am on Tuesday 25th January 2017 at a home in Southern New Providence by officers from the Selective Enforcement Team during a special operation.

Additionally, an adult female and three male occupants of the home were taken into custody for harbouring a fugitive.

Police have launched a manhunt and public appeal for several suspects wanted for Murder and a number of recent Arm Robberies.

The first suspect is 25 – year old Mark McKenzie (seen top) of Blue Hill Heights, Worrick Street. He is wanted for questioning reference to murder.

McKenzie is a dark male of a slim build about 5’ 3” tall....

Police are appealing to the public for information to assist in their investigations into the country’s latest murder of a male that occurred on Saturday 31st December 2016.

Reports are that around 2:30am, a man had just pulled off in his vehicle from a sporting club on West Bay Street, when someone fired several shots at him. The male lost control of his vehicle, sending it into the water at Saunders Beach. Shortly thereafter the lifeless body of the male was pulled from the vehicle by bystanders and taken to shore where he was pronounced dead...

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Friday 16th December 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 3:00pm, two males while in the area of the Casuarina Bridge were held up and robbed of a light blue 2002 Chrysler van, cash and other personal items, by two males armed with a handgun.

Police later recovered the van off East Sunrise Highway...

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating two suspects responsible for a shooting incident that has left a male detained in hospital on Wednesday 7th December 2016.

According to reports shortly after 10:00pm, a man was about to enter his vehicle in front of a home located at Sunset Park off Carmichael Road, when two males armed with handguns approached and shot him before speeding off in a dark coloured vehicle. The victim was rushed to hospital where he is detained in serious condition.

Reports are that shortly before 2:00pm, police received a report of a man found dead in a home located on Palm Tree Avenue. When police arrived on the scene they met the lifeless body of a man who had been shot. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
