Police are pleased to report that 25 – year old Jason Cleare of Faith Gardens, who was being sought in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred driver on Saturday 18th February 2017, turned himself into officers at the Police Traffic Department on Tuesday 14th March 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 7:00pm on Saturday 18th February 2017, a man was riding his motorcycle on Hibiscus Road off Farrington Road, when a blue Honda vehicle collided with him and failed to stop. The victim was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday 19th February 2017...

In the first incident, shortly before 1:00pm, a man was leaving a business establishment on Soldier Road to make a deposit at a bank, when three men armed with handguns approached and robbed him of a bag containing a large amount of cash before speeding off in a white Honda vehicle...

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2017, Police are pleased to report the arrest of one of the Royal Bahamas Police most wanted criminals Mark McKenzie, after being on the run for two years.

According to reports, McKenzie was arrested without incident around 2:00pm on Saturday 4th March 2017, when officers from the Firearm’s Tracing and Investigation Unit assisted by officers from the Eastern Division acting on intelligence, conducted a search of home located at Tundra Court, Winton Meadows and found McKenzie in possession of a .38 revolver and a .40 pistol with 28 live rounds of ammunition...

Police have launched a manhunt and public appeal for two suspects responsible for a shooting incident that has left two persons detained in hospital on Tuesday 28th February 2017.

Reports are that shortly before 3:00pm, two men were standing in front of a building in Pinedale, when two men armed with handguns approached and shot them before fleeing on foot. The victims were transported to hospital where they are detained in stable condition.

Police are appealing to the public for information to assist in their investigations into a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Saturday 25th February 2017.

According to reports, shortly before 8:00am, a man was sitting on a large rock at Ferguson’s Subdivision off Carmichael Road, when a male pulled up in a silver Nissan Primera motorcar and shot him before speeding off. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police are seeking the public’s help in solving a shooting incident that has left a man dead on Tuesday 7th February 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 7:00am, a man was standing in front of a home on Ida Street, when a male approached in a grey vehicle and shot him before speeding off. The victim was taken to hospital where he later died.

Investigations are ongoing.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force is asking the public for help in finding four men who are wanted for questioning reference to murder.

The suspects are is 21  year old Fredrico 'Rico' Ramsey;  29 year old Tino 'Squid' Adderley;  22 year old Tearge Johnson; and 26 year old Micah 'Mikey' Johnson.

These men are considered to be armed and dangerous. Police advise the public not to approach them. Instead, contact police immediately with any information...

Two government schools ransacked, Nassau police launch island-wide search - Feb 7, 2017 - 7:48:46 PM

Police have launched an island-wide search for the suspects responsible for two separate armed robberies that occurred at two government schools.

In the first incident, around 3:00am on Monday 6th February 2017, two security officers were on duty at a Senior High School on Faith Avenue South, when four males armed with firearms accosted them and demanded cash. The males tied up the two security officers and robbed them of cash, a watch and a cell phone. The suspects then ransacked the school’s office before speeding off in one of the security officer’s silver 1999 Honda Saber vehicle.

Police have released a surveillance video of a suspect responsible for a fire at the Nassau Street Court Complex that occurred on Monday 30th January 2016. (See video attached)

Reports are, that shortly after 5:00am, police discovered that the entrance area of the court complex was on fire. The fire which was contained to the entrance of the building was immediately extinguished by firefighters.

Consistent with the Commissioner’s 2017 Policing Plan, Priority # 1, Officers from the Selective Enforcement Team along with officers from the Eastern Division conducted a police operation in Eastern New Providence on Wednesday 1st February 2017, that led to the arrest of one of police most wanted suspect Lorenzo Franklyn Stubbs, AKA, X-Box.

Stubbs is wanted in connection with a number of armed robberies.

Reports are that around 2:00pm, a man was standing outside a home located at Pear Street, San Souci, when by two males armed with a handgun approached and shot him before speeding off in a vehicle. The man was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.
