World Class Comedians and R&B Singer to perform at The Grand Lucayan in "Love & Laugh” Comedy Show - Nov 12, 2014 - 12:18:16 AM
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - On Saturday November 15th
the Ballroom at The Grand Lucayan Resort will be electrified when Flying High
Promotions presents its biggest comedy show of the year - the “Love &
Laugh” Comedy Show featuring four
phenomenal comedians and a performance by Grammy Award nominated recording
artist Karyn White.
The
upcoming show, which is the last installment of the 2014 comedy series, will be
hosted once again by audience favourite, New York native comedian Mike Troy aka
“Brooklyn Mike”. Mike’s credits include appearances on The Dave Chappelle Show,
Comedy Central and Showtime at The Apollo. He will be joined by stand-up comedians

The
NBA cheerleaders of the Atlanta Hawks are in Freeport, Grand Bahama. The oceanfront Grand Lucayan Resort has worked as a perfect backdrop
for the teams 2015 Calendar Shoot. Over twenty cheerleaders are on island over four days.
Carmel Churchill, director of marketing services at the Grand Bahama Island Tourism Board told The Tribune news
that "having the Hawks cheerleaders will give the island some exposure
to the Atlanta market and boost the demand for the flight service with
Delta."
"This is very important because Atlanta Hawks has a
substantial reach in the Atlanta market where their email database for
the newsletter is well over 30,000..."

Great Lawn' at Grand Lucayan, the Bahamian Beats and Barbecue concert
event was moved indoors to the convention center due to weather.
For the price of $40 per person,
Bahamian music enthusiasts danced the night away to the sounds of KB,
Veronica Bishop, D-MAC, Wilfred Solomon and The Magnetics while
consuming copious quantities of juicy barbecue, chicken, ribs, lobster
bisque, salad, roast corn, roast beef, kabobs and loads of other tasty

Mary DiPasquale has been appointed director of sales for
Grand Lucayan, Bahamas,
a classic Bahamian escape nestled just off the Florida Coast.
DiPasquale
brings over 16 years of hospitality sales experience to her new post,
which will include management of Grand Lucayan’s
leisure and group business development. Based in Plantation, Fla.,
DiPasquale most recently served as director of leisure sales for Wyndham
Hotel Group. She is an expert on the Caribbean market – with specific
emphasis in the Bahamas – thanks to past work
with Radisson Cable Beach & Golf Resort and Wyndham Nassau Resort
& Crystal Palace Casino.
