Reports are that on Wednesday 6th March 2019 between the hours of 5:00pm and 12:00midnight, Law Enforcement Officers that included the Police and Customs Department, led a team of officers throughout Grand Bahama Island where they arrested (9) persons; (3) illegal migrants, (2) for harboring illegal migrants, (2) on Warrant of Arrest, and (2) for possession of Dangerous Drugs...

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Wednesday 27th February 2019.

Reports are that shortly before 9:00pm, a male culprit entered a business establishment in Martin Town, Eight Mile Rock, armed with a firearm and robbed the establishment of cash before making good his escape.

Police are actively investigating these matters...

Reports are that on Wednesday 27th February 2019 shortly after 3:00pm, Police Fire Services assisted by the Grand Bahama Airport Fire Services, were called to Rachel’s Britannia Mini Mall in the Caravel Beach area, where they met the multi business complex engulfed in flames. The structure is value at $800,000.00 and arson is suspected in this matter.

Police have in custody a female suspect who is assisting police with their investigation...

Firearm discovered by DEU in EMR, Grand Bahama - Feb 20, 2019 - 7:45:21 AM

Reports are that on Tuesday 19th February 2019, Drug Enforcement Unit Officers acting on intelligence, proceeded to an area in Martin Town, Eight Mile Rock, where they discovered in the bush, a 9mm pistol with (9) rounds of ammunition.  There were no arrest made in this matter. Investigation will continue.

Reports are that on Sunday 17th February 2019, shortly before 2:00am, police received reports of an altercation at a night club on Wimpole Street, involving a group of males. Patrons at the club attempted to intervene and as a result they were stabbed to the body...

Grand Bahama drug arrest involving 63 packages of suspected marijuana - Feb 13, 2019 - 4:30:17 PM

Officers of the North Eastern Police Station on Tuesday 12th February 2019, while on mobile patrol in the area of Weddell Avenue in the vicinity Garden Villas, arrested a 27 year old male of Hearne Lane and a 45 year old male of Balao Loop who were found in possession of (63) packages of suspected marijuana.

They are expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate Court this week...

Police in Grand Bahama need your assistance in finding the person(s) responsible for a shooting incident that has left a male dead.

Reports are that on Sunday 13th January 2019, shortly after 12am, police were alerted to gunshots being fired in the area of East Atlantic Drive. Officers quickly responded and upon arrival discovered the lifeless body of a male, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are appealing to the public for any information that can assist with this

Reports are that shortly after 1:00am, police were called to a business establishment in the International Bazaar where it was reported that two culprits, one armed with a firearm entered that establishment and robbed the cashier of monies and two patrons of cash and personal items.

20-yr-old EMR man arraigned for murder -- Grand Bahama homicide victim identified - Jan 5, 2019 - 6:27:07 AM

Devano Hanfield age 20 years of Eight Mile Rock was arraigned on Friday 4th January 2019 before Magistrate Gwendolyn Claude at the Eight Mile Rock Magistrate Court on attempted murder charge and possession of a firearm while committing an indictable offence. He was not required to enter a plea, but was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Corrections in New Providence until trial on Thursday 28th March 2019.

This is in connection with the shooting incident on Tuesday 1st January 2019...

Alleged drowning in Grand Bahama - Jan 4, 2019 - 5:36:19 PM

Police are investigating an alleged drowning: Reports are that on Friday 4th January 2019 shortly after 2:00pm, police were called to the Deadmans Reef Beach, where it was reported that a male while snorkeling in waters, began experiencing difficulties and was later discovered unresponsive. Emergency Medical Personnel along with the doctor from the West End Community Clinic were called to the scene and pronounced him dead. Police are actively investigating this matter...

Reports are that on Tuesday 1st January 2019 shortly before 10:00pm, police responded to gunshots being heard in the Pinedale, Eight Mile Rock park area, where officers met a male with gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Further reports are that two males were involved in an altercation when one of the male shot the other to the upper body with a firearm before fleeing the scene...

Reports are that on Sunday 30th December 2018 shortly after 1:00am, officers of Rapid Response responded to a disturbance at the Taino Beach area and acting on information, arrested a 21 year old male of Fortune Bay, who was found in possession of a black and grey pistol with one live round of ammunition. He was also wanted by the Magistrate Court in Freeport on (2) two outstanding warrants. He will be arraigned before the Magistrate Court early this week...

RBPF: Marijuana Field Discovered in Grand Bahama - Dec 28, 2018 - 8:02:13 AM

Reports are that on Thursday 27th December 2018, officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit along with U.S Law Enforcement Officers, while on aerial patrol in the eastern area of Grand Bahama, discovered (5) plots of suspected marijuana plants and a quantity of suspected marijuana seeds. The plants range between six inches to two feet in height and has a street value of $120,000.00. 

There were no arrest made in this matter...

There were no arrest made in this matter...

RBPF Grand Bahama: Homicide - Dec 18, 2018 - 6:45:32 PM

Police in Grand Bahama are investigating the death of a malewho was found with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Reports are that on Tuesday 18th December 2018, shortly after 10:00am, police were called to a residence on Inagua Avenue, where a male was discovered with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Emergency Medical Personnel were called to the scene. He was later pronounced dead.

Police are actively investigating this matter and are appealing to the Grand Bahama community for any information that can assist them in this investigation...
