Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a traffic accident that has left a male dead on Friday 9th February 2018.

Reports are that shortly before 8:00am, a traffic accident occurred involving a 2001 blue and white Van Tour Bus that was travelling along Coral Road and Settlers Way, when it collided into a male pedestrian who was attempting to cross the street. The male pedestrian died at the scene...

Reports are that on Wednesday 31st January 2018 shortly after 3:00pm, a traffic accident occurred off East Grand Bahama Highway, involving a yellow 1965 Mercedes Benz Unimog with (10) occupants, when the vehicle overturned. All occupants received minor and serious injuries and were taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital via EMS personnel...

Both vehicles sustained extensive damages...

24 year old Jovan Opell Nixon of Holmes Rock was arraigned on Monday 22nd January 2018, before Deputy Chief Magistrate Debbye Ferguson in Magistrate Court #1 on (1) count of Stealing, (1) count of Shopbreaking and Possession of instrument for burglary. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 3 years at the Bahamas Department of Correctional services.

He was also arraigned before Magistrate Charlton Smith in Magistrate Court #2 on matters of Stealing, Shopbreaking and stealing from a shop...

2 Grand Bahama juveniles arraigned for murder in Magistrate's Court - Jan 11, 2018 - 8:00:12 PM

Two male juveniles’ ages 15 and 16 years, both of Freeport, Grand Bahama, were arraigned before Magistrate Renkin Johnson in Magistrate Court #3 on Murder charges. The 15 year old was arraigned on the murder that occurred on January 4th 2018 and the 16 year old was arraigned on the murder that occurred on the 1st January 2018.

They both were arraigned on Possession of Firearm and Ammunition charges. They will appear before the Juvenile Panel for all charges on January 25th 2018...
